The flat bottom and 63° upright back position help younger, smaller drivers get a strong shoulder turn, which is why the T5 shape has become a go-to for junior classes like OKJ, Mini X30, and Minimax, typically for drivers around 8-12 years old.
The T5 range comes in four rigidities; T5VG sits between the firmer T5t and the softest T5VTi. Softer rigidities like the VG flex more and allow more rear wheel lift, which is part of why they're a popular choice.
