Sprint kart racing has its own map of tracks, classes, and engine packages — confusing if you've never seen a paddock before. This page lays out everything specific to North Texas, then helps you land on the right kart in about a minute.
01 — Where to race
Four tracks, one region.
The Dallas–Fort Worth area is unusually well served — four sprint kart tracks, each running its own membership and club race days open to members and non-members alike.
North Texas Karters
Three-season club championship (Spring / Summer / Fall) — 6 races per season, 18 total, plus one-off events.

Find your class.
Exact ages and engine rules shift slightly between clubs and series, but this is the general landscape across North Texas — grouped youngest to oldest.
03 — Where it leads
Club → Regional → National.
Sprint karting has a real progression. Almost everyone starts at a single track on a Saturday; the levels above add more tracks, longer weekends, and deeper fields.
Club Racing
Entry level. One track, a season-long points chase, the easiest place to learn race craft.
3 seasons a year, 6 races each, points toward a season and overall championship.
~10 races a year, informal format, no championship points.
Regional Racing
Multiple tracks, tighter competition, usually a practice day before race day.
3 races across all three DFW tracks. F1-style weekend: Friday practice, Saturday qualifying, sprint race, and grand prix.
3 races at 3 Texas tracks, focused on Rotax and Briggs LO206 — no 100cc or Shifter classes.
5 races at 5 tracks across Texas and Louisiana — the highest level of regional racing in the state.
A national family of regional series — the Texas region is set to launch in 2027.
National Racing
Multi-state series, 4–5 day weekends, fields that draw racers from across the country.
4 races at 4 tracks — the stepping stone between regional and national, still a 3-day weekend.
National LO206-focused series; events regularly draw 300+ entries.
Top-level national series, 4 tracks, 5-day race weeks starting Wednesday.
6 rounds over 3 weekends at 3 tracks — draws top-level racers worldwide.
