Motul DOT 5.1 is a 100% synthetic, glycol-based brake fluid built for hydraulic brake and clutch systems that see hard, repeated use like kart racing. It has a dry boiling point of about 522°F (272°C) and a wet boiling point of about 365°F (185°C), giving it strong resistance to vapor lock and brake fade as the fluid absorbs moisture over a season. It's compatible with any system spec'd for DOT 3, DOT 4, or DOT 5.1 fluid — do not use it in a system that calls for silicone-based DOT 5 fluid.
