Chassis Repair (Welding): Starting at $100.00
Cracks in the chassis of a kart are not uncommon, due to the high loads that are placed on them with no suspension. The most common area is where the seat posts connect to the chassis. Over-Under Racing can repair your chassis by TIG welding the affected area to get your kart back on track! TIG welding is typically the preferred method as it requires lower heat than MIG welding. Higher heat can cause weakening of the metal and cause additional breaks in that same spot in the future (typically above the weld). We offer free inspections at our shop and once complete we will provide a quote for the repair.
Fiberglass Seat Repair: Starting at $75.00
Kart seats are one of the most important pieces of a go kart. The seats take a lot of abuse, especially when they are mounted below the frame rails or have a lot of lead weight installed on them. At some point, most seats will crack. The most common places are at the bottom of the seat and on the spine of the seat. A lot of times the seat can be repaired saving money from buying a new one. We utilize fiberglass mat and resin to offer a strong repair.
2 Stroke Engine Installation: Starting at $95.00
We offer installation of certain engines including: IAME Swift, IAME KA100, IAME X30, ROK VLR and ROK GP. Installation includes building the engine (Most engines require some parts be installed), install a motor mount and mount the motor on the kart, install fuel lines, install and adjust throttle cable, install the exhaust, and other necessary components. To quote your specific motor, please contact us. Engines with a radiator (X30, GP) require more time and will incur higher costs.
NOTE: Any parts that are not included with the engine must be provided or purchased (IE: Engine Mount, Fuel Line, Throttle Cable, Etc.).
IAME KA100/X30 Starter Brush Replacement: $50.00
A common failure point on the IAME KA100 and X30 is the starter. There is nothing worse than getting the "1 Minute" sign on grid, pressing the button to start your engine, and nothing happens. More often than not, one of your starter's "brushes" broke off inside. The repair, while simple, is quite tedious to do as it requires holding both small "brushes" which are spring loaded, while inserting the starter. Skip the hassle of losing small springs and cussing your afternoon away and let us get your starter fixed up for you.
NOTE: Replacement brushes are not included, however, we can provide them for an additional cost.
Tire Mounting & Balancing (4x): $40.00
Provide your 4 wheels (with no existing tires), we will mount 4 new tires on them and balance the 2 front wheels (weights are included in pricing). Dismounting exisiting tires is an additional $10 for all 4.
NOTE: We only mount tires purchased through Over-Under Racing.
